ABOUT THE GAME

Bloomtales is a side-scrolling adventure where players guide Ro, a tiny humanoid plant, through a broken world, using unique abilities to overcome challenges and explore. Journey through stunning pixel-art landscapes, battle corrupted creatures, and uncover the mysteries of a world on despair, transforming it from gloom to bloom, like a bloomtales.

GAMEPLAY

As you progress through Bloomtales, you’ll unlock a variety of abilities that enhance exploration and combat. These skills are gained gradually, making each new area a fresh challenge to overcome.

CONTROLS:

• Move: W, A, S, D
• Jump: Spacebar 
• Paraglide: Hold Spacebar
• Double Jump: 2x Spacebar 
• Attack: Left Click 
• Dash: Shift

GLOOMIES

Face off against seven distinct enemies, one miniboss, and one bosses. each with unique designs and challenging mechanics. More gloomies await!

MINIBOSSES - MIRECLAW

The Ricefield Crab also known as Yuyu Aer is a decayed creature with a rusted canister on its back. Behind the canister, a cluster of mutated seeds controls its movements. Beware of his thrust!

BOSSES - GLOOMDUCKS

This huge monster is a corrupted duck covered in mud with six spider-like legs and a tortoise shell on its back. Its six eyes fire seed projectiles, while its mutated, overgrown body makes it a terrifying boss. Beware of his ultimate!

The original version of this game was developed in 3 weeks for Gameseed 2024 Gamejam using Unity, Aseprite, Tiled, and FL Studio. We have updated and polished it over an additional 2 weeks for the G2G Festival.
